                        Meeting the neighbors

Even though I was sad, I met new people during that time, who soon became my best friends ever, they were like a family to me, but they could be annoying sometimes…

When I was in high school, I saw that someone was moving next to my house, they looked rather familiar and my mom told me to go meet the new neighbors, she knew that they had a daughter that was my age.

I knocked on their door, sighing because I wanted to use my bass, not meet new friends.

"Who's there?" A female voice with an Australian accent asked.
"The neighbor from the right house…" I sighed.

She opened the door and stared at me like she knew me.

"S-Stompin' Bob?!" She said surprised.
"Yeah… who are you?"
"Oh mate… it's me, PH!" She hugged me.

I stood there, surprised, being hugged by a unknown person… when I realized what she said.

"PH?"
"Yes! Don't you remember me?"

How could I forget my crush when I was small? It was simply stupid!

"PH… PH! Oh my god, long time no see!" I exclaimed happily.
"I know, right?! It's so amazing to hear from you again! Do you want a cookie?"
"A cookie?" Well, sure, why not?"
"Then, come in!"

I went into her house; it was pretty and also weird. I saw her mom and dad stared at me like: "What the… who's this weirdo?" I started to blush and I think that she noticed it, because she grabbed my flipper with a grin and we went in the kitchen.

"Here, give it a try!" PH said as she stuck a cookie in my beak.
"Mmm… -I swallowed the cookie- these cookies are amazing! Would you mind if I take some?"
"Of course no!" She said smiling.

PH was so beautiful… her brown long hair… those amazing eyes… she was the prettiest penguin you could ever see…

"Stomp? Hello? Partner, are you there?" She asked…

I didn't know why'd she ask, but I realized it soon, I was staring at her like a fool.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to… I…" I started to blush.
"Hahaha! It's okay, Stomp. But I have to continue un-packing… what if we go out later and you show me the place?"
"Sure! I'll be glad to do it… but I have to practice with my band…"
"Oh, well then… see you tomorrow?"
"Sure…" I said almost drooling.

I waddled outside her house and waved at her, she waved back. I went to G-Billy's house (We practice there most of the times when we can't at Petey K's house).
As soon as I got there, I knocked on the door and G-Billy went to greet me.

"Hey dude! What's up?" G-Billy said.
"Oh hey… are the guys there?"
"Of course they are! C'mon, get in!"

I went into the house and into the basement, it was the typical band practice room, with posters, an small fridge with sodas and everything G-Billy's mom makes, some videogames, Petey K using his blue electric guitar, Franky watching a T.V show… the same as always.

"You're late, buddy. What happened? Did the ice cream guy steal your wallet again?" Petey K laughed.
"Ha-ha… very funny…" I said with a really sarcastic tone in my voice.
"C'mon, why so serious?" He said with a smirk.
"Ok, stop it with the jokes! I'm late because I had to meet a new neighbor…"

"Oh! Do they have a puffle who writes blogs?" Franky said in a really excited voice.
"Dude, what the heck?! You know that puffles like that don't exist…"
"Yeah…" Franky said leaning his head down.

"So… shall we start?" G-Billy said hopping in his drums.
"Sure, let's get this rehearsal started!" I exclaimed.

We started to play, G-Billy played the drums, Petey his electric guitar, Franky singed and I used my bass. We played many songs, but then, I got a call from my phone.

"Guys, guys, stop! -I screamed- I'm having a call… -I answered- Hello?"

"Howdy there! –It was PH- hey, my dad said that he was going to take care of everything here… want to get a coffee?"
"Oh my… YES! I mean, of course, I don't have anything else to do… See you there?"
"Sure, I'll meet you in 10 minutes, bye!" PH hanged up.
"Okay! –I hanged up- guys, I have to go… c'ya!" I said as I ran outside G-Billy's house"

Franky was confused-"What was THAT?"
"No idea…" Petey K shrugged.

I was excited, I have never felt this way before… what's happening to me?

Am I… in love?
